Confirmed from River Bluffs Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open space with hiking trails, picnic tables & boat access to the Mississippi River.
What runners say about River Bluffs Regional Park
“A beautiful, hidden jewel that offers a peaceful walk in nature.”
“It’s really peaceful here, trails seem to be maintained pretty well.”
The path was very pleasant and easy. The lower basin walk is about 1.4 miles. The walk along the river is very pretty. Worth the drive!
I love the wooded hiking trails here. Big elevation changes gives you good workout.
River Bluffs is a haven for trail lovers. It provides access to the paved Beaver Island Trail, perfect for long, leisurely rides or runs with incredible river views.
I love the little tucked away boat landing. Big parking lot for your truck's and trailers. It has a really cool one way road with a mini stop light to make sure noone else is on the road for you. Only open during summer.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
