Confirmed from Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Riverside Park
“One of my favorite places to hang out and always well maintained”
“Although it is a great place for an afternoon lunch or to walk your dog because the surrounding area is beautiful.”
I take my dog here for walks. It's a great pathway and lots of areas where your baby can play in the water. It was kind of a bummer to see that they cut the trees by the water down and now you can see the water from the path. That was kind of a family hide away area but it's a beautiful park none the less
I had a peaceful day with my son and his wife and the Gran babies..enjoyed all of nature..birds were chirping,Gran babies were Happy playing near the river trail..and got to see some little frogs..
Quiet park. Not a lot of shade so summers will be hot. But right off the south Platte river. Nice paced walking path along the river. There is even a turn off to head down to the rivers edge and splash around on the shallow shore of the river.
A very beautiful park with the river lake and pond. With beautiful scenic paths to walk, ride, or bike! Very relaxing tranquil place to get out of the house and go to. The a very nice ball fields and also a great playground for kids as well . There is also fishing; Highly recommended!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
