Confirmed from Riverview Linear Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Riverview Linear Park
“Great park to walk the dogs, jog or sit at benches or patio chairs and view the northern Oxnard - Santa Clara River farmland area.”
“The living in this area, is very comfortable, loved the views and the dogs that walk this area are amongst the luckiest in Ventura County.”
One of the weirdest parks I've seen before, but really nice. As the name suggests, it's really long and narrow, spanning along the side of multiple neighborhoods. It's a nice addition because it could have easily been a large pathway with nothing nice about it, but it's clean and used by lots of families.
Great place for daily exercise. Walking, riding, or running. Lots of folks walking their dogs. I like the fact it's close to homes, but not in the middle of the neighborhood. It's a little private, yet feels safe. Everyone is polite and respectful of distance, due to covid.
My favorite place to sit contimplate while watching the southern night sky and Northside Oxnard. The dog walkers are very friendly too.
We call it “the green belt” and take it from Montgomery Ave/North Bank all the way to Rio Grande/North Bank. Dog friendly, wide, paved path. There is a playground on the east end and it’s a great place to go for a run or take the kids.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
