We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Riverview OHV Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riverview OHV Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (42 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Great trails to ride. Lots of tight woods and 2 motocross tracks plus one for bikes under 100cc. Not much for side by sides to drive on since they have to stay on the perimeter trail. There is bathrooms that I usually avoid and a picnic shelter. No camping though.

★★★★★ — Aaron , Aug 2018

Absolutely one of the best OHV parks in the state of Iowa. In addition to all our other tracks and trails, we now offer a skilled UTV course you can ride your SXS on as well. I invite anyone that enjoys this sport to check the park out. We are open everyday.

★★★★★ — Debra , Oct 2023

The former Mitchell sand pits cleaned up and turned in to a really nice off-road area for motorcycles and quads. Well maintained, trails are well marked. Excellent variety of riding areas, two MX tracks, a trials area, woods tracks, dozens of trails, climbs and jumps.

Hadn’t been to Mitchell sandpits for YEARS. Well, this isn’t that ! Although on adjacent property, this is a dedicated OHV park. It is well setup, with well groomed trails and a variety of riding areas.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“There is a public bathroom and a shaded picnic area but plan to bring in your food, there's not really anything nearby.”
