Confirmed from Riverwalk Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riverwalk Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (440 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Fun and confusing frisbee disc course with port-a-potties at the back, they were okay clean, the disc course is dusty and full of bushes lol.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“They are still doing some work on the park but I thought it was beautiful!”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“This is one of the best walking, running and biking trails in the area.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“It was peaceful, and a nicely paced walk.”

A good walking trail bordering the wilderness of the river and homes encroaching close to nature. A hidden gem for trail enthusiasts with a decent walking and biking trail. A parallel trail for horseback exists where you can ride horses too.

★★★★★ — The , May 2022

This is one of the best walking, running and biking trails in the area. I was very surprised to see the Desi house being restored to its original condition and even better thanks to the Parks department. The trails are paved on one side and decomposed granite on the other side in some areas.

★★★★★ — Robert , May 2021

A very nice, good clean park to "walk" and " jog". Beautiful away from city noises and chaos of traffic. Cemented no its coal tar road made for walking and jogging. Love it. Will always be my forever. Search ends here.

★★★★★ — Meghna , Oct 2023

Great place for family walking, running and biking. No motor vehicles there so the children playing there is very safe. You are able to hear the birds tweet, smell the flowers and see lot of trees along Santa Anna River.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 6 mentions

“The views to mountains and the Santa Ana River are a treat and makes the walk leisurely.”
