Confirmed from Rumney Marsh Reservation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This expansive marsh habitat features migratory birds, walking trails & areas for boating & fishing.
What runners say about Rumney Marsh Reservation
“Very well kept and the vistas allow for some great photos”
“There is a diversity of ecosystems along the walking paths and benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful views.”
The entrance is at the parking lot on Ballard St. (at the northern aspect of the reservation) - I tried to update Google Maps to reflect this, hopefully it goes through. Otherwise you'll end up on the side of the highway with no actual entrance. Don't forget to bring bug spray! A beautiful trail through the marsh.
An amazing area for birding - I’ve seen Bank Swallows and American Kestrels here, along with many other types of birds. There is a diversity of ecosystems along the walking paths and benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Very relaxing pretty views great place to connect with nature and have a walk or even go fishing I had a great time here
The Marsh isn't a location that can be visited by the public. Access near it is due to the Salem Turnpike (Route 107) that passes through the cities of Revere, Saugus and Lynn.
