Confirmed from Rutgers Eco Preserve Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rutgers Eco Preserve Trailhead
“Easy trail and close to environment, Look for directions in All Trails app, rather than Google.”
The Rutgers Eco-Preserve is several hundred acres of preserved/reclaimed woodlands and is a handy if imperfect woods breathing space (you'll hear road noise everywhere, but I did come across a beaver last time I was there).
Easy trail and close to environment, Look for directions in All Trails app, rather than Google. Trail took around 1 and half hour.
Easy trail! Be careful there are lots of ticks here. Seems a little unkept lately. Nice dip where you see water great place for kids to show wildlife to. Saw a little fox, deer, frogs, tadpoles, and lots of birds.
Love this place! Park in Johnson Park. Nice forest with some little hills. Tons of well marked trails. I see pretty blue birds and deer here all the time. Great way to spend the afternoon and escape nature. This place is beautiful and quiet in all seasons.
