Confirmed from Salamander Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It’s not a long trail but it is rather well maintained and there is a bit of nearby parking.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“If you are interested in snakes or amphibians there is a little creek right off to the side that hosts these beautiful creatures!”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“The cutest park ever, a little round about trail that is good for any / all ages.”

Pretty trail that circles a large vernal pool. You can see the bricks that were laid down before the area was donated upon the discovery of Spotted Salamanders that migrated here in the hundreds during the early spring rainy season.

Lovely little park with walking path around oxbow pond and along creek with loads of shipping stones some fossils. I was there in fall, too cold for salamanders to be out but the leaves made up for it and no one else was there. Peaceful. Many virtually tame deer.

The cutest park ever, a little round about trail that is good for any / all ages. No hills just a grassy oval. If you are interested in snakes or amphibians there is a little creek right off to the side that hosts these beautiful creatures! A perfect place to take the kids. However there are no bathrooms located here.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
