Confirmed from Sammamish River Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sammamish River Regional Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (324 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Thank you to the teams that manage the trail and help keep it clean and useful for exercise.”

We have walked on this trail, many many times, it's well planned, with amenities along the way, washrooms are there, drinking fountains, benches are there, a River flows alongside the fauna is just too good.

★★★★★ — Pramod , Jun 2023

It's my favorite neighborhood trail. Really nice surroundings and no cars around.

★★★★★ — Serge , Jun 2025

Great space for all kinds of activities from soccer to flying remote control planes and drones. Parking is free but in a gravel lot. When soccer games are playing it can get very busy here. The Sammamish river trail is right next to here as well so it's a great place for families.

★★★★★ — Bryan , Jul 2019

What a huge place. Well laid out. Fields for whatever sport/activity you are looking to do. Adjacent to the Sammamish River Trail which is a beautifully set up walking/running/biking path. We even saw canoers on the river. Calm, serene, and tranquil.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
