Confirmed from Savannah National Wildlife Refuge's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Savannah National Wildlife Refuge
“Such a gorgeous and peaceful tranquil 4-5 mile drive through the refugee.”

Great for taking photos. Lots of gators, egret, ducks, and Heron. Flies can get kind of bad so wear hiking pants. I like parking my car and walking around.
Such a gorgeous and peaceful tranquil 4-5 mile drive through the refugee. No fee to get in, open sunrise to sunset. We had to have seen over 50 alligators up on the bank alone. Several swimming and a TON of baby gators. Lots of super cool birds. We even watched one catch dinner!
Super cool place along the side of the road. It's about 5 miles long with some truly amazing views. Saw an alligator but no picture. Highly recommend driving through this serene place.
Lots of open Marsh land to walk ,run or ride a bike. I enjoy my conversations with God because I am alone and can enjoy everything around me.
