Confirmed from Sawmill Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular place for short bike rides and walks, with trails winding through wooded terrain.

What a great hidden gem! Wide high path, gravel and dirt bed. No water on path. It's a magical place hidden between neighborhoods, a park, a highschool and roads. Great parking area.
Nice trail not too long not too short! Great for hiking biking walking and running and you know what even jogging! It’s a point to point trail so you will have to turn around to get back to where you started! There’s mainly one trail that branches into another 2 and off the main paths are multiple smaller paths!
Well maintained bike path. Would have liked it to made a loop though. My daughter who was 6 was able to ride.
Great trail easy in the knees... Just remember to carry out what you brought in........

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
