If someone tells you to take a hike, pack a lunch a go here! Nice pavilion, great paved and wood-chipped trails to hike. Can go to Bishops big (5 stars) or if your feeling froggy (or have a bike) to Elison nature reserve (5 stars). And once your done hiking the trails enjoy the green grass or the small playground.
Beautiful Park. It's not a huge playground area, but nice equipment. Indoor and outdoor pavilions, lots of open areas to play, paved walking paths, and clean bathrooms.
My favorite park in Portage. Its never busy even on holidays. There are miles of well kept trails in the adjoining woods. They have a new playground. I've been coming to this park for 20 years.
Get ready to have a wet adventure walking the bog trail. But it’s real fun. And the walk through the woods is peaceful and relaxing. Definitely a hike worth taking.
