Confirmed from Sheehy Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakeside space featuring walking trails and picnic areas amid natural surroundings.
What runners say about Sheehy Memorial Park
“This park is a great location to just sit and relax with a great view”
Lovely riverside park. Nice for walks and picnics. Go for a stroll along Pawtucket canal or over to the dam and northern canal.
I enjoy coming here with my dog because it is a nice walk only issue are the people who smoke weed in their cars which is everyday or eat in their cars then simply throw the garbage next to their cars. I love that they replaced the tables for people to sit and eat on, as well as the new exercise equipment.
Nice park for a jog or just sit and relax. Sunset here is beautiful. There are picnic benches on one side of the park and on the other side there are benches. I have also seen people exercise on some of the metal equipments. Fishing here is also popular but I am not sure what you might catch.
Great place to relax walk your dog and they have exercise places for you to walk and exercise love it next to the water

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
