Confirmed from Shiloh Hills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

🐕 dog-walking favorite 4 mentions

“Great park, lots of paths to walk, very clean and dog friendly.”

I love this trail! With all the the switchbacks and turns it is longer than you would think, but it is probably only 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. It is well maintained and lovely. You are allowed to bring dogs as long g as they are leashed.

First time walking the trails. Nicely laid out and maintained. Easy walking. They only reason for the 4 is the unfortunate destruction of the walking lights. They looked very nice unfortunately some saw fit to destroy them. Very sad.

Excellent Walking paths, easy, took about half an hour with two kids to do the paved path, didn't try the other yet. There are some Pavillions that look like they have electricity. Ample parking, no jungle gym that I saw.

well maintained and a great place to walk your dog. there’s not too much of a crowd either most of the time.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 15 mentions

“Its a great little walking park to get out with the dogs and get some exercise.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
