Confirmed from Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
180-acre park with a lake for fishing & paddle boating, plus disc golf, a playground & picnic areas.
What runners say about Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park
“Beautiful and peaceful during the weekday.”
Peaceful, clean park. Excellent fishing spot, get there early if you want to catch anything. They have nice trails to walk around on, rental boats, and large grass areas that are set up for frisbee golf. Only gripe is that you will need cash to get into the park since they don't take cards.
Brought my chupacabra (Xolo) here to run and dig. He had a blast! So many burrows to explore. I loved the sun and quiet. Great for a winter walk, but might be too sunny for Summer. We'll be back to find out.
Nice park with trails to walk and enjoy nature. Nice disc golf course. Good playgrounds. You can fish or feed the ducks or geese. Always a good time.
Shumway Oak Grove is a great. Lots of areas to explore. Nature walks lots of wildlife to see. Watch for the goose shit is the only drawback. Come see for yourself. Oh there is also fishing if that’s your thing. There is a parking fee.
Trail conditions & character
“Many people appreciating the staff's golf cart circling the pond with coffee, water, hot dogs, donuts, chips.”
“Its only $5 parking which is not bad at all.”
