Confirmed from Siena Heights Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Siena Heights Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (169 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“We did not spend a lot of time there, but I did notice, the trailhead was very clean, had plenty of parking, a playground, and tennis courts.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“There are some beautiful views from the footbridge but the two parks are nothing extraordinary.”

When you visit the Siena Heights Trailhead park, you get two, two, two parks in one. 🏞️ (Remember that old Certs commercial? Or am I showing my age...) The St. Rose Parkway Bridge 🌉 connects this park with Cactus Wren Park. How many times have I sped by under the bridge racing to catch the light at Eastern?

★★★★★ — Beth , May 2021

Nice little park (trail head). My brother and I were cycling in henderson on the st. Rose bike trail, and it was kind of a lifesaver. There are tables to sit down and rest on, and public restrooms.

★★★★★ — Victor , Apr 2021

Really green thick beautiful grass. Great tennis courts. Clean restrooms. Beautiful place to watch the sunset. East walk accross the bridge to cactus wern park. Which is always a joy filled park. Another Henderson gem. Great place in the evening. Listening to the kids play adds to the peaceful feeling this park offers.

★★★★★ — Tim , Jan 2021

This is basically a park connected to another park via a footbridge. There are some beautiful views from the footbridge but the two parks are nothing extraordinary. I like that the paths are well maintained and seem safe for walking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
