Confirmed from Sinks Canyon State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“There is plenty of hiking/biking options out here and going to "the sink" and "the rise" is a must do and is only a very short walk for all ages.”

Staying nearby for a month. So we visited today to see what we could do here. Did one little hike. It was stunning. The views are amazing. We are from the east coast so this is a little different for us. I'm a waterfall girl through and through so I can't wait to do that hike.

An amazing value and excellent place for young and old. We camped 4 nights and had plenty of fun, hiking, checking out the fish, etc. The restrooms are clean, the grounds well kept, and the ranger station was in great shape as well. Over all well worth the effort to see and experience.

What a beautiful place to visit. Lots of hiking trails and your choice of four lakes to spend the day kayaking or fishing. June is a great time to visit when all the wild flowers are in bloom and the river is flowing high from the snow melt.

Beautiful area to explore! A short hike between the cave where the water disappears, to the gorgeous pool where it reappears, is paved and takes you across the road just about a quarter mile.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
