Confirmed from Sligo Creek North Neighborhood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Very peaceful with the sounds of the creek.”

Absolutely beautiful park! I've lived in Hyattsville for a looking time and have never walked these trails before, crazy. It's so nice. The pictures should explain everything. There is a little playground back there that I took my daughter. There is a pavillion with about seating for 20-30 people and a grill.

Lots of shade at this park! Located along Sligo Creek, so perfect for walking, biking, scooter, stroller, etc. Love the descending monkey bars/bridge (made me nervous when my daughter was 2.5, but not now that she's 4.5). Small gravel lot off Sligo Creek that has a bit of a drop from the road.

Gorgeous trail, very well kept and it feels very safe to walk around. Many pups through the trail and it’s very family oriented! I did around 7 miles roundtrip and looking forward to doing more next time!

Features a playground with swings, slides, and lots of climbing apparatus, perfect for small kids, which is next to a covered eating area with picnic tables and a grill that burns charcoal or wood. All adjacent to Sligo Creek and the paved, 10-mile Sligo Creek Trail for walking, jogging and biking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
