We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Southgate Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Southgate Trailhead
“Beautiful trails, lots of friendly pups and the farm stands!”
A beautiful dose of nature. This place has many hiking trails on or off trail! Animals at the farm and wildlife, as well as a fishing pond.
The city of Green really hit a home run preserving this property as park land. Hope the residents appreciate it! It is by far my favorite park in the area to come and run, hike, geocache, you name it. The new trail in the back takes you all the way to Koonz road. Amazing! Thank you, city of Green!
Beautiful trails, lots of friendly pups and the farm stands! My toddler and I go every Saturday that we can

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
