Confirmed from Spongs Landing County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great for a long quiet walk through a forest type setting. BBQ pits and playground equipment. Public restroom and River access.

County parks, dog leashes are NOT required - so please bring your FRIENDLY dogs for a river side walk. Great path throughout trees. About 20-30 min walk. There are covered areas with sink, outlets, and new tables to have an event or picnic. Not very ADA friendly.

★★★★☆ — Stephanie , Apr 2024

A beautiful park about 2 or 3 miles northwest of Keizer, Oregon. An entertaining playground for kids, inspired by nature. A large meadow with forested areas and two pavillions for larger groups. There is also a short trail to the Willamette River, with a small beach and 3 small picnic tables near the beach.

★★★★★ — Emilio , May 2024

Very nice park. Great playground and walking trails. The bathrooms are gross half the time, but that's par for the course around this area. Great river access (no boat ramp). We really enjoy this place.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 6 mentions
