Confirmed from Stocksdale Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Huge and beautiful park for both humans and dogs!! Friendly atmosphere!”

Stocksdale is great! Has a decent playground. Mountain bike trails a short paved trail loop, great frisbee golf course. They have a horseshoe area but I don't know if you can access it whenever I think you can byo horseshoes. The dog park is amazing!

★★★★★ — Samantha , Jun 2022

Beautiful park with plenty of nice things. Great place for adults, children, and dogs! The paved trail is a really short loop but they have hiking trails too so that's a plus.

★★★★★ — Katie , Aug 2023

It's a great place, has something for everybody from a dog training course to mountain biking. I love hiking myself and the trails although designed for mountain biking are comfortable to hike. Lots of different plant, fungus and animal species here so keep an eye out for some cool stuff.

★★★★★ — Joe , Sep 2022

An excellent park with tons of walking trails, separate fenced-in off-leash areas for big and small dogs, tons of playground equipment, baseball fields, a comprehensive disc golf course, and mountain biking trails. Great place to take the family! Public restrooms are available.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 34 mentions

“There is a dog park, playground, disc golf course with 18 holes and a practice basket next to the gravel parking area, paved and unpaved trails, horseshoe area, and picnic areas.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
