Confirmed from Stony Creek Metropark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Massive park featuring year-round activities from canoeing & picnics to workshop events.
What runners say about Stony Creek Metropark
“Everything appears very well maintained, and staff has always been helpful and kind on the few times I needed to speak to someone.”
“Beautiful park today on 5/25/2025 Memorial day weekend, the wildlife was out and about seen a turkey Vulture, a red white and blue Woodpecker, a Beaver by the lake and many others.”
“Whether it's a quiet picnic with family and friends or a fitness session of trail walking and biking; a nature lover to absorb the sunset or a bird watcher, you have it all here.”
I absolutely adore Stony Creek Metropark. Over the years my family and I have visited, not only for simple outdoor enjoyment and swimming, but for a range of events; 5K races, Night of the Dragon, Nature center programs, and birthday parties.
We love playing in the lake and sand at Eastwood Beach. Bathrooms are close to the water and playground. Lots of variety at the playground: big kids love the climbing rope section and there are a few unusual features for them (a rotating ring to walk on, for example).
Great Park for hiking and biking, perfect if you have high energy dogs and like natural atmosphere. We went on a Saturday around noon, you can see a lot of people there.
This was my first visit here. I WILL BE BACK!!! I really was not prepared, but I will be next time! I did get a chance to bike ride, dance to a live band, and enjoy the sights of nature in 83° weather! This is a summer staple must!! Take the family, food, blanket, wagon...
