Confirmed from Summer Breeze Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area featuring children's play areas, slides, basketball and volleyball courts.
What runners say about Summer Breeze Park
“I love the park, great view and it is well kept the swing is very noisy but overall very great”
“I love this park it's quiet and always well kept only problem is it doesn't have a bathroom .”
This is a nice little City of Mcallen Park located in the front of the Summer Breeze neighborhood along Bentsen Road just north of Business Highway 83. Its a very convenient walk for anybody in this neighborhood as well as the surrounding homes.
Love the well manicured and clean feel here. Great for a picnic in the shade, a stroll in the center walkway, or a jog around the whole park. It's small but pretty. Would get 5 stars if it had a bathroom but it doesn't...and kids need bathrooms. Otherwise a simple spot to relax.
Great little park on Bentsen. Watch out for heavy traffic in the morning/afternoon due to the IDEA public school on the corner of Bus. 83 and Bentsen. Park has a jogging trail, volleyball court and playground area for the kids. Landscaping is well maintained.
This is a small park of five acres, but has a walking trail, volleyball court, and pavillion with bbq pit. Well maintained and peaceful.
Trail conditions & character
“There are no restrooms which is one of the only reasons I can think of why I leave the stars numbered 4 out of 5.”
“I love this park it's quiet and always well kept only problem is it doesn't have a bathroom .”
