We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Tamiami Trail Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Tamiami Trail Park
“Very quiet and familiar place, it also has many trees around which means that the high temperatures do not feel so hot due to the shadows of the trees.”
Quiet shady park with a walking trail that doing four laps is a mile or so. Great place for kids to play and with plenty of benches through out for parents to watch over child play. Plenty of streetside parking is also available which is different for this area. Though if the park is crowded parking will be as well.
While driving through the neighborhood, I spotted this inviting park with a walking trail and decided to stop and check it out. The park is named after the Tamiami Trail, a historic road completed in 1928 that linked Florida's east and west coasts through the Everglades and Big Cypress Preserve.
