Confirmed from Tatnic Hills Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Tatnic Hills Preserve
Explored a little bit of the red and white trails today, it's a beautiful and strangely intriguing place. Right now there are a lot of leaves on the trails but the trees are marked fairly well.
Hiking the red trail in six inches of powder in January among the low bush blueberries, junipers and oaks is just what I needed. I will have to come back and try the white trail soon. Edit: not a good trail for people who may have difficulty on uneven trails.
Red trail is about 1.25 mile loop in newer growth Forest. Lots of up and downs, could be slippery. White is less, maybe a mile. Older new growth Forest and more level terrain.
