We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Terranea Bluff Top Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Panoramic ocean views, bluffs and gentle hiking trails are the hallmarks of this rocky, family-friendly park.
What runners say about Terranea Bluff Top Park
“It's always fun to walk there and beautiful ocean views”
“Great flat and easy trail.”
Gorgeous views from this very easy 1.5m hike over the ocean. Free (small) parking, restrooms towards the end of hike in a restaurant and several seating areas on the way
Went there on a clear crisp morning. Great walking public access trail.
Nice little park that offers panoramic views of the Pacific ocean, Santa Catalina Island and Point San Vicente and its historic lighthouse and is a great spot to watch pelicans and other seabirds fly by.
One of my absolute favorite places. It really does not get better than this for a trail walk by the ocean bluffs. The path is even and for the most part suitable for strollers except when you have to go down the stairs to get to pelican cove. If you are into bird watching, it will be a feast for the eyes.
Trail conditions & character
“Great little trail overlooking the ocean with a picnic table and coin operated binocular/telescope to look for whales and such.”
