Confirmed from Tibbits Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Urban, 4.52-acre park with benches, memorial statues & fountains, plus a gazebo & decorative clock.
What runners say about Tibbits Park
“It's free to get in, with beautiful scenery and great events all throughout the summer.”
“Clean, police presence noted, and Benches to sit in the Sun or Shade and kept up by the City.”
Cute little park, great place to stop at if you’ve been walking all day around white plains
Nice Greenery thru several streets in Downtown White Plains. We went to check out the Craft Fair they have every year but you do need to cross between streets as this "park" is divided for Traffic. Clean, police presence noted, and Benches to sit in the Sun or Shade and kept up by the City.
A pocket park in the middle of a heavily trafficked area. Attended an art show here ... Parking is a bit tricky. Plenty of benches and shade steps from the center of White Plains.
This might be my favorite part of White Plains, because you can enjoy a park setting while also being surrounded by the city, and some of the most beautiful pre-war apartment buildings in White Plains.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
