We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Tidal Marsh Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

Hiking, biking and walking trail featuring views, forests and an abandoned rail yard.

What runners say about Tidal Marsh Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (131 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Certain points along the path provide great views.”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“Easy trail and just a nice private spot to get away behind the bustling stores and highway.”

Ticks, lots of ticks... but big abandoned building bear sculpture which is cool!! You walk along a river for most part then along old abandoned railroad tracks with some cool abandoned buildings along the way to the bear... but seriously so many ticks

If I were with a group I'd have went further in. It's a really raw trail. Bends and turns. Blind spots. Right trees and branches. You can't really see ahead too far bc of trees and bushes. But the trail is clearly marked nonetheless. I just didn't feel comfortable going too deeply in alone.

The tidal marsh trail holds a very interesting story. Nestled deep within the woods reveals the remains of an old railroad yard from the 1860's that grew over time until abandoned. It's an intriguing page from the past.

A short walk, but filled with interesting views of the marshes, abandoned railroad tracks and buildings, and all sorts of wildlife. Makes a great walk for nature lovers, or explorers of all kinds.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
