Confirmed from Tinker Creek Greenway, Hollins Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful and easy trail that is great for kids and dogs!”

Great challenging flowy hike in the woods that ends at the Cove. About 4-5 mi round trip. Previously part of the 22 mi Carvins Cove loop. Takes me back to the mtn bike days of the 90s before the Cove had a large trail system. Will return soon.

It’s not always easy to find a place to take a walk/hike when driving on a long road trip. My wife was the navigator at this time and she found Tinker Creek Greenway. It’s only a few minutes off the highway and has a good size parking lot. There is a sign that says Hollins Trailhead, Tinker Creek Greenway.

Beautiful and easy trail that is great for kids and dogs! Pros: easy and relaxing trail that is perfect for the whole family to explore! Lots of wildlife to see as well. Cons: only thing for me is you can hear the highway but that’s not enough to keep me from going back again and again!

A Hidden Treasure! The Tinker Creek Greenway is a steady trail that steadily increases in steepness

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
