Confirmed from Tompkins Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Tompkins Park is a nice kind of suburban Park. It is I'm guessing about 5 to 10 acres. It has a playground. A very large fenced in dog park that's maybe close to an acre narrow and long.

Pretty well maintained but the kids had to watch out for gopher(possibly) holes in the grassy areas where they were playing. Nice running/ walking track with exercise stops. Good size fenced in dog areas. Shaded playgrounds. There's also basketball court and sand volleyball areas. Beautiful park in the snow even!

Tompkins park is great, they have a walking/jogging path with exercise equipment on the sides. They also have a basketball court, a playground and two dog parks. The dog parks are divided into Big Dogs and Small dogs I believe but they are allowed on each other's side too.

Great park! Beautiful. Nice walking trail. Mountain views. It has a good, full-size outdoor court. Good lighting for night games. Plenty of benches. Family atmosphere.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
