Confirmed from Town Square Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Vibrant community park with an outdoor stage & many seasonal events, including a farmers market.
What runners say about Town Square Park
Nice small park to walk around. Not much traffic on a Saturday afternoon. One might even say that it was very peaceful!
This park is very nice! At Christmas, they have a huge Beautiful Tree lit up that is breathtaking! Every Thursday, they have a Farmer's Market where vendors from several cities and counties from Mississippi come to bring their fruit, vegetables, jewelry, arts & crafts, etc. Free parking at all times.
Town Square Park is a nice park downtown with a stage and a grassy area. They have some benches around the park and they hold the farmers market there weekly. There are other events throughout the year at this park. There's a nice gazebo for shade and a walkway that runs along Gordon's Creek.
A great place for events. Communities can get together here. The traffic is slow and safe. There is bike parking as well. The farmer's market is here every Thursday, which is a great way to find local treats, and ingredients you won't find anywhere else.
Trail conditions & character

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
