Confirmed from Trapper Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Trapper Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (124 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Such a beautiful fun kid friendly park our family had so much fun here !”

🌳 shaded & cool 9 mentions

“The willows are just as fun to climb as the playset, and the entire park is an oasis of cool shade during the day.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Quiet, hidden, right on the river, shaded - this is a gem of a park.”

Trapper park is a well-cared for and filled with elegant willows. The most surprising thing about the park is the fact that it is down a rocky dirt road that goes past several cow and horse pastures, to the end of the road and around the corner.

New playground in 2018, it's very cute and unique, a bit on the small side. Huge beautiful grassy area with large mature trees. No pavilion but plenty of shade and picnic tables. This is where the trail connecting to the Logan River trail ends or could begin.

★★★★★ — Shellaylay , Sep 2018

Probably our favorite park because the bike track is great and the connecting trails to golf course area is a nice walk. We love the little bridge, the river access and the playground. Pavilion is large but out of the way. Lots of dogs come to this park and they are always super friendly.

★★★★★ — Natalee , May 2025

Great park with a fire pit, playground, and lots of room for kiddos to run around. This park is one of the few in Logan where dogs are not allowed, but it is a great place for the rest of the family to come hang out. It's located right at the end of the riverwalk so you can come by foot or bike!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
