Confirmed from Turkey Hen Creek's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Turkey Hen Creek
Super shallow little creek spot. You can go upstream and downstream a good bit can get knee/waste deep and there is soft shell turtles, crawfish, some fish and cute walking trails, maybe some ants and mosquitoes and flies so be aware. Good bird spot too.
Great little natural nature place.. no restroom or picnic table because its natural..absolute best place, right off a highway & within minutes of any town around here..yes you need a res pass like most other but you don't have to drive miles down a dirt road
No hiking trails. Just a small watering hole. This clear stream with a white sandy bottom is a perfect place for my kids to swim and play while we have a picnic lunch.
When the kids were little we came here so they could play in the shallow water. We've always heard it referred to as the "HIPPIE HOLE" locally. It's a great place for families to cool off on a hot Florida day and it's just outside Crestview. No need to fight traffic going further south.

The practical stuff

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
