We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Turkey Vulture Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Turkey Vulture Trailhead
“Really fun trail up to the old quarry with some gorgeous views!”
What a lovely trail! I usually head up Rib Mountain once or twice a year when visiting family but have always gone through the park entrance. This was a lovely little change of pace! I went on a summer Saturday around midday and still only passed about 5 people total.
Really fun trail up to the old quarry with some gorgeous views! There are trail maps at like every intersection and trail signs as well, so its really easy to navigate!
Can't beat it for trailside lookouts in central Wisconsin. It's one of the highest points in the state at least at it's high point. A lot of potential rocks to climb and find hidden spots that are difficult to get to. I'm visiting from Florida but lived here in the 70s and 80s.
