Confirmed from Tuthill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tuthill Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (669 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Lovely trails clean restrooms event space to rent, not to mention frisbee golf course, picnic shelters, and at least two playgrounds we noticed.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Attended a wedding in the beautiful flower gardens, and the reception was in the restored Tuthill farm house.”

Absolutely BREATHTAKING! It's hard to find something like this in a city. The main park is beautiful itself but the hiking trails are one of a kind! If it weren't for the sound of the nearby intestate (which is muffled when leaves are on trees), I wouldn't think I was in the middle of the city!

★★★★★ — Bruce , Oct 2021

It's a fun park with plenty of hills, trails, and things to do. Most importantly please adhere to the Alcohol and Tobacco rules posted on the city website if you are visiting our city. We keep it clean so everyone can enjoy it. Its quiet, barely any real noise pollution coming from S.

Great park to be at this time of the year. This park is big, well managed, and organized. This park has a long foot trail and bike trail. There is a small garden with beautiful and varieties of flowers. There is golf too. Clean and well managed restrooms, and plenty of parking space.

★★★★★ — Dinesh , Aug 2019

This park has the biggest dog park in siouxfalls. Huge area fence in. Large parking. Handicap parking. Enough room for a big bus. Picnic table. Wifi available. Has a nine ball disk golf. They keep the place clean. Bike trail. There's two entrance to the park. Kid friendly. Next to the interstate right off of Cliff.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
