Confirmed from Tuxedo Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tuxedo Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (542 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“The bathrooms were clean and well kept.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“Beautiful park, the creek was so clear and the day was beautiful.”

Beautiful little part with three baseball fields, a soccer field, 4 pavilions, 5 separate playgrounds, a creek for swimming, built-in grills and picnic tables and it is a wooded park. It is nestled down in a small valley carved by the creek.

For years, I've walked the creek in the winter, and Summer My kids love coming here, too. Walking in the water over summer is a nice way to cool off. Most of the creek is shallow. However, there are some deep spots that you can swim in. There are a couple of waterfalls that you can walk up and slide down.

Oh, a hidden gem runs the whole route of the water and mostly shaded. This is a lovely hiking trail although Metro Parks needs to come out here and cut some of these dead trees that are hanging over the trail.

★★★★★ — Joshua , Jun 2025

This park has changed for the better. Used to explore it in the late 60's from my Aunt's house on South St. We would hike to the back of her trailer park and slide down the ravine to the crick and small H2O falls. The park has upgraded to nice ball fields, playground equipment, and paved hiking trails along the crick.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 13 mentions

“This place is all flat Rock in the creek, so you can walk through it and enjoy the small waterfalls along the way.”

“There is also a paved bike path through the woods along the creek and a scenic bridge that you can peddle your bicycle over the creek on.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
