Confirmed from Tyler State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Serene pine forest with a lake offering camping, hiking, nature study, fishing & a bike trail.

BEAUTIFUL state park!! All the facilities were well taken care of. The trails were well taken care of and the lake was incredibly clear! You could see turtles and fish down in the water! The playground was awesome for the kids. The bathrooms/changing rooms by the swimming area were about what you would expect.

It's a two hour drive from Dallas. The park is perfect for a day trip. There are multiple hiking trails. It is very well maintained, very clean and perfect for those who would love to spend time in the woods. The lake offers kayaking, small boat rides, you can even swim on the designated swimming area.
