Confirmed from Valley View County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded, community park offering open green space, picnic pavilions, a playground & sports fields.
What runners say about Valley View County Park
“Beautiful place had an 11 y/o's birthday party here.”
“Whether your planning a get together under a reasonably-priced rented pavillion or just looking for a nearby place to enjoy a family picnic or some quiet time to yourself.”
“Medium sized park, nice fields for bball and soccer, playground, a few pavilions, disc golf, restrooms, nice dog walking and trails, ampitheater, and some woods.”
A very nice park. Good seating and pavilions. A nice playground for the kids. A small amphitheater. A disc golf course. Trails to hike as well.
Nice place to have a day filled with activities. Has a baseball field, a 9hole disc golf course, a nice children's playground, a nice half mile trail, a few soccer fields, and 3 or so pavilions. Nice atmosphere normally it's not to busy. Mostly dog walkers and kids at the playground.
Real nice park, nice trails, bigger than you'd imagine after what you drive out of to get there.
I have always loved this place. Whether your planning a get together under a reasonably-priced rented pavillion or just looking for a nearby place to enjoy a family picnic or some quiet time to yourself. Use of the park is free.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
