We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Vernon A Luthman Tecumseh Wildlife Area yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Vernon A Luthman Tecumseh Wildlife Area
Great outdoor space that allows fishing and hunting. There is a grassy area near the parking lot and a trail that leads into a wooded area with a stream. Make sure to wear bug spray and keep an eye out for ticks, I saw three brown dog ticks while I was here.
Very well manicured. Trails were clean and it was a lovely place. However as far as hunting goes, there are several nearby homes and it appears alot of people walk their dogs here and there were several piles of dog feces. I didn't see any sign of small game. But there were some deer sign and lots of birds.
Nice little public hunting area outside of Hardin just a few miles from Sidney. Couple of mown paths threw it otherwise it's pretty grown up with grass and brush. Ticks are definitely out good now.
