Confirmed from Walter Fuller Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a lake and shaded trails has dog parks and baseball fields.
What runners say about Walter Fuller Park
“The dog park is spacious and clean.”
“Beautiful park with lots of wildlife (including gators - check the drains and you may see one).”
“This park has a great, shady playground, a rec center and a really nice walking trail around an interesting lake.”
Great park to walk your dog around the lake. There are paved trails, good for strollers or jogging. Some of it can be close to the water, so keep an eye out for alligators. The dog park is spacious and clean. There were seperate areas for large and small dogs.
West St Pete, just off of Park Street, this marvel of a park will invite people of all ages to walk on the winding path that circles around the lake or take the kids to the playground or the dog to the dog park and more.
Beautiful park with lots of wildlife (including gators - check the drains and you may see one). Great place to walk, bike or jog. Some people fish. The inner trail winds around lakes with trees and shade, 0.75 miles around. The outer edge of the park has a sidewalk 2.
Great for walking, recreation area, events that take place there, and plenty of parking. It's a big park with different activities available. There are walking paths, wooded areas, and grassy areas, as well as sports related areas.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
