Confirmed from Walter Y. Elisha Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Walter Y. Elisha Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (794 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Simple and clean park with a great environment to walk.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Huge slide, lots of swings, benches to sit on that are shaded, and a merry-go-round with four seats intead of standing up on it.”

Really enjoyed walking around the loop, feeling the morning 🌄 breeze and resting on a swing. June 2025 update: some of the bench swings have been taken down and yellow caution tape has been put up. It is my hope new swings will replace them.

Nice park with lots of room. Went for the Strawberry Festival, but was surprised by how big and roomy it appeared to be. Clean. Plenty of portable toilets. Easy access. Nice walking path. A family oriented, trouble free environment. I was very pleasantly surprised.

The pictures that you see here are from the Fall Festival that were held here. You will also see photos from our most recent visit to the park. It was really neat.

The playground was completely redone! There's swings, a toddler area, a bigger kid area, and it's all on a soft, rubber floor. They have some umbrellas for shade but it still gets rather hot. There's a stage and bathroom facility as well. There's a lot of open space to run around and play in. Highly recommend!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
