Confirmed from Wauponsee Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wauponsee Trailhead
Great for cloud observation and solitude. From the river to the administration building (3/4 of the trail) it is bordered by modern industrialized farms which spray glyphosate from planes. This pesticide drifts through the air into your lungs, liver and kidneys.Spraying starts in April and goes through out the summer.
This trail is all crushed limestone, except for the crosswalk portions. There isn't much in terms of wildlife since this portion of the Wauponsee Glacial Trail is among residential areas, but it is so serene and a nice 3.5 mile walk.
