Confirmed from Wayne County Parks' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering picnic tables and trails for walking and biking.
What runners say about Wayne County Parks
“This area (Hines Park), is beautiful, and well maintained, with respect to nature.”
“Calm and peaceful with something for everyone.”
I love this area for walking and biking. New pokemon stop area for me too. Restrooms every now and then. Clean as well.
Dropped by to reserve a picnic shelter because the website wasn't working. The process was smooth and quick. There is a walk-up window on the back side of the building facing Hines Drive. If you park on Ann Arbor Trail, follow the red brick pathway down the hill. There are signs to direct you.
Nice for driving, walking, biking, sitting and relaxing, and the like. Lots of playgrounds, trails, parks, and the like. Calm and peaceful with something for everyone.
Trail conditions & character
“It definitely beats all the traffic lights and stop signs, and less traffic stress.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
