Confirmed from Wehmhoff Woodland Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wehmhoff Woodland Preserve
“Absolutely gorgeous landscape with high hills and deep wooded trails surrounded by Marshland overlooking Burlington.”
Absolutely gorgeous landscape with high hills and deep wooded trails surrounded by Marshland overlooking Burlington. We went on a hot day so the deep cover tree canopy was a welcome sight. Although it wasn't a problem for us because of the heat, Would recommend mosquito repellent on cooler days.
Nice short hike (about a mile from end to end) on elevated terrain near a marsh. Looks like there are 2 separate camping spots if you are willing to hike your gear in. Probably only room for about 2 tents or so though.
Beautiful natural trail in which to ground yourself, lighten your spirit and feel the energy of nature
Was a nice trail, very scenic looking over cat tails and marsh areas. Not paved, rustic. Hills were a bit slippery, but had timber for steps making it manageable. A get back to the basics of life trail.

“It is not a loop trail, so if you want to return to your parking spot, you'll need to walk the trail in reverse or walk back along Honey Lake Road.”
