Confirmed from West Hills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly, dog-friendly park featuring sand volleyball, baseball fields and clean bathrooms.
What runners say about West Hills Park
“The bathrooms where pretty clean and surprisingly, they were stocked with supplies.”
“Lot of parking and beautiful grass this place a lovely park for the kids.”
“There seems to be plenty of parking, it's dog friendly, playground is spotless, baseball games going all around.”
There are 2 fenced in play areas, one for smaller kids and one with play equipment that's slightly bigger; they are separated by a small but adequate sized 'viewing' area.
The positive bathroom review is what brought my dog and I here for the day. I traveled from Mt and by far this park has the cleanest bathrooms I have seen! There seems to be plenty of parking, it's dog friendly, playground is spotless, baseball games going all around.. so entertaining.
This is mainly a baseball field park. There's three fields. There is also a medium sized playground with sand, sand volleyball court, and a grassy area as well. Wheelchair accessible, clean bathrooms, lots of sitting. Good place for the kids to run and play.
Park has a playground right next to a shaded pavilion with picnic tables and a bathroom very close to the parking lot. There are also lots of athletic fields. If you are up for a bit of a walk, there is a gazebo here too. This park has a lot of parking and often isn't very crowded.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
