Confirmed from West Hudson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
County facility on 46 acres with various sports facilities, a water park, paths & a fishing lake.
What runners say about West Hudson Park
“Beautiful, perfect for a picnic, playing soccer, basketball, baseball/ softball, frisbee, or anything you may enjoy outside.”
“Great for exercising: running, jogging, walking,H.”
“Seating throughout the park and plenty of trees to sit under for shade.”
“The pond and fountain add a calming touch, and the abundance of trees makes the whole place feel refreshing and peaceful.”
My favorite park in Harrison Kearney. This park has 2 cute lakes, water fountains and huge walking running loops. They also have huge space where kids can play football, cricket and other sports. It is expanded on both the sides and has parking space within the park itself.
Great park with tons of terrain, go for a nice walk or run. I've seen many people fishing on occasion and the geese are friendly. I just wish the water wasn't as dirty and that the grass was trimmed more often by the county. Plenty of parking.
Park with voluminous amounts of lands and trails to hike, run, or cycle on. Open road for cars to pass by from city to city. Has an available to the public exercise station as well as playground and water park for the little ones.
The park of my childhood. Loads of areas to walk, walk your dog, kids' playground, tennis courts, and pond! The pond freezes over in the winter and police used to come and check that the ices was deep enough and give the green light for ice skating. Loads of ducks are there too! The fun I had in that park was amazing!

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
