I drove about 45 minutes to visit, as it's one of the few good parks for letting the dogs swim off leash. At the parking lot, follow the paved trail south along the ball fields to reach the swimming area.
My favorite dog park! My dog doesn't need a leash because he follows me around with no problem. so I love that this is an off leash park, especially the trail. Everyone is always nice and responsible with their dogs. The parking lot is a bit out of sight.
This place is amazing! Free entry. So many dogs. Such a huge park. It's a little hard to find. My first tip is to just take the unmarked path, (any of them) they all lead to the park. My other tip is to bring your own water (a lot) to share with all of the thirsty dogs.
This place is truly amazing! But, also it's FREE! My dog and I came here for the swim-beach during a summer heat-wave, and I was greatly impressed. The grounds are extremely well-kept and the locals are just as social and friendly as the dogs they bring to the park/beach.
