We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of West Park Nature Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about West Park Nature Trails

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

Very nice trails. I've lived in the area for 12 years and just found it. Trails are not difficult. We take our dog "The Pips" here. I uploaded the trail map in case you forget to take a photo of it.

Entered the park during winter. Road wasn't tended too, frozen path for two wheels. Parked at first lot and walked to the trail head to the right. Path was difficult to navigate initially with all the snow. Then began to look for the paint on the trees. That was helpful. Beautiful and serene!

★★★★☆ — Amanda , Feb 2022

A pleasant place for a short hike. None of the trails are very difficult. Avoid trips into the weeds if you worry about ticks. We saw two deer while hiking.

★★★★☆ — Tom , Nov 2022

I wasn't there long, only to catch a few geocaches. But it is beautiful, we spooked a few deer. I definitely plan to go back to hike it thoroughly.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
