Confirmed from Westside Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Charming park featuring a fenced-in dog run, children's play space, splash pad & athletic fields.
What runners say about Westside Community Park
“Very open area, no covered, with seats along the trails, very clean, I don't see any rubbish.”
Great park. Lots of facilities. We hiked the three hill trails from the park. Not too challenging for a quick hike. We saw a huge jackrabbit!! Pup had fun too!!
I walk my dogs here regularly. I love the feel of it. It feels like a family, neighborhood kind of place. Kids having fun, older people like me walking in different areas, people eating at the picnic tables. I'm going to move away in a few months and I'll take my memories of the Westside park with me for years to come.
This is definitely a crowded place but the scenery is amazing and the trail is great! You will definitely get a workout but it all depends on your level walking, running, or both. I made sure I got to the top of the highest point running and walking the view was amazing.
This place is really big and has a lot to offer to kids, teenagers and adults. Water park, skate park, trails empty spaces to play soccer, space to play baseball , jogging, walking ect. It has park for little kids to play. Has portable restroom. Looks clean. It also has dog park.
Trail conditions & character
“It has a dog park, skate park, water splash park, nature trails, wonderfully maintained.”
“Best park on the Westside, it has a little bit of everything (including restrooms).”
“Great park u can have a easy hike, 3 hiking trails r less than a mile, a little bit uphill at the beginner level, even with kids.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
