Confirmed from Whites Branch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular park for kids and families boasting playgrounds, a splash pad and a covered pavilion.
What runners say about Whites Branch Park
“Looking around, playground seemed to be well kept.”
“Some scenic some less so.”
“Lots of shade trees, picnic areas (tables and grass), with a paved walking trail.”
Very good park for 2-7 yr olds. Splash park is open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. I’m glad there are the baby/toddler swings, but there r only 2 for such a popular park. I didn’t see a bathroom anywhere. Lots of trees, lots of shade, lots of walking & biking trails.
Amazing park, couldnt help taking a picture of the flowers along the trail. They have picnic table under the shade. An open field to play a small game of soccer or football. Also a good amount of parking spaces. Benches around the park.
Pretty nice park. A little bit basic. Children under the age of seven will have a great time playing on the equipment. The only reason why I stopped here was because I got a flat on my bike on the way back to the house. Looking around, playground seemed to be well kept.
This park has great trails behind it. Depending on when you go, you can really see the creek moving through the trails. It’s beautiful. If it storms, they usually clear up the debris pretty quickly.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
